Daughter's First Time Buying Experience Without Dad

I recently was looking for a car for my daughter on line and found a KIA Sorento posted. Now my daughter is a single parent with poor credit but does have a decent job with limited income but has enough money for a considerable down payment more than half of the balance to purchase the car with a trade-in Hyundai Sante Fe, plus extra money from a recent tax return equaling a significant amount for cash down payment of which she showed and can make payments for the difference totaling couple thousand dollars. The salesperson humiliated my daughter saying she doesn't have enough income and would need a co-signer assuming less risk from the dealership by taking a chance on my daughter if not being able to pay a couple thousand dollars. She even provided pay stubs from Home Depot to show she can pay in good faith. The salesman was a jerk I am out-of-state but wanted her to test the waters in purchasing a car on her own and helping guide her to a dealer willing to work with her. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone with a poor credit situation they simply don't want to bother with you. I felt this should be shared. This is not the way to treat a customer, especially a first time buyer and send them away. His comment was to her "We sell 200 plus cars a month here!" Who gives a xxxx there is a difference to selling and selling with good customer service relations so they feel that they were treated properly in the transaction and process of buying a car. It is supposed to be a satisfying experience for the customer and the salesperson.

When people think of car shopping they usually think of pushy salesman, at Bayside Auto you will not experience that at all. Our salesman Greg Minor was great! He gets to know his customer's on more of a personal level, not just another sell. I would recommend everyone looking to purchase a vehicle to go see Greg!

Seen a car on the website..really liked it and made a trip of 3 hrs to go see it( with full intent of buying) when I arrive, I show them the car on the website and they say they don't have it anymore..its been sold for a little over a week now..at this point some people would say why didn't you contact dealer( contact through the check availability) which I did and no reply or response..either way I don't know if this is the dealers fault of the cars.com people..either way I didn't get a car there and took my business elsewhere..

Company can get you approved with bad credit which was good but your limited. And they wouldn't even negotiate the price lower. Car had minor effects that they could have fixed. And would not budge to even put gas in car knowing they still got full asking price on car and we traveled this far to get a car. If you buy car here please look throughly in the car. This company asks for full coverage insurance on cars that are even 3,000 . Customer service was ok as we waited 2 hrs to finally get the paperwrk done. Nice cars but they don't fully service there cars or minor things buttons, seat belts, chewed seats beneath. Ect..

I dealt with Greg, he was a great car salesman. Very helpful. He wasn't pushy about trying to get me to just buy a car and leave. Made sure it was the right car. Helped us with getting insurance. Was completely nice. And made sure that I was fully aware of the situation at hand, also gave me multiple financing options. I could tell he wasn't trying to just get me out the door. After researching used Honda Civics for a few days, I found one at Bayside Auto Sales that was very reasonably priced through CarFax. If you are looking for a dealership with glitz and lots of overhead that they necessarily build into the price of the car, this is not the place for you. If you realize that no one sells cars as a hobby and that no dealership is giving cars away, but you want the most value for your money while dealing with a knowledgeable, reasonable, and friendly sales staff, I highly recommend Bayside. We got a great deal, a great car, and we were a cash buyer, no penalty for not using their financing. They even took care of a small problem that we found with the air conditioning the day after we purchased the car! Thank you, Kelly and Adam!

My wife and I were looking to buy a car. We drove up and down highway 99 from Everett to Seattle at least 4 times stopping in at random dealers and either ran into pushy sales people or shady vehicles. When we drove into Bayside Greg came out and his only concern was helping us find exactly what we were looking for. No pressure at all. We bought a beautiful Envoy and I have to thank Greg for helping us find that. After the Envoy came our Jeep Liberty again thank you Greg, then came the Infinity and now an Escalade. After a miserable experience with a dealership that promised big and delivered nothing we stopped by bayside to check the inventory. We were immediately greeted enthusiastically by Greg Miner, salesman extraordinaire! We were able to tell Greg our particular situation and he not only was very understanding and positive about helping us find the right match, he went out of his way to make sure all our needs were met and cared for. We had our toddler with us and he interacted great with him thru our test drive and time in the lobby. It was a super hot day and Greg made sure we were stationed in a comfortable area with access to fresh cold water and cartoons to distract our son. He found us financing in what seemed an impossible situation, honored an internet price, allowed an expansive test drive! Once we were done, we left with our new car with every confidence it was the right move. Greg really cared about our family's needs and worked easily within our finances.

they said yes with 500 down when (Car Hop) told us we need you bump your credit score up a few points and we can get you something. Bayside work with us got us a very nice car the color we wented as well. the cons well the car could have been repair a little better since we paid 4500 over what the car was worth. over all they said yes. will go back all b/c of the 500 down.

If I could give this business six stars, I would. We purchased a good little commuter car from Bayside almost exactly a year ago. We had some financing challenges, but Greg worked with me over the phone getting everything in order and approved before we ever came to the lot. We left with a perfect vehicle that was affordable, in great shape, and has served my family very well for the past year. That's all great, but it's not an unusual story. HERE is where the company really rises above the rest:Six weeks ago, the car started making weird noises so I took it to a Hyundai dealership in Bellingham to take a look. The car needed a new motor! For a solid month, the Hyundai dealership and the Warranty company miscommunicated with each other while my car sat there, and the claim was ultimately denied. The dealership was quoting us somewhere between $5,000 - $7,000 for repairs, so the Warranty decline was not a small thing. Well, given we hadn't had the car a full year yet, we gave our friends at Bayside Auto Sales a call to see what we could do since they sold us the warranty. They were on it in a flash! Greg let Zeke know what was going on, and they sent a tow truck all the way up to Bellingham, picked up my car at the dealership and brought it down to their shop in Lynnwood. They advocated for us with the Waranty company and got the claim approved! Bayside did NOT have to do any of this, but they did. Two weeks later my car is now running perfectly with a 'new' engine and it cost me a whole $100 out-of-pocket. I CANNOT recommend this place enough, and I will definitely be purchasing all future vehicles from them!

I worked with Tim an he was awesome. He listened and took the time to understand my situation and was able to get me in the car I have been wanting for quite some time. Tim was very good at keeping me informed with everything i needed to know. The car I got is flawless and running perfectly. Tires on the car still have a ton of tread life on them, almost new. I also had the pleasure of working with Adam who also worked wonders and cut my APR nearly in half from what my credit union was offering me. Overall the people I had the opportunity to work with seemed very genuine and I left as a very happy customer more. If you do go to this auto sales lot go see Tim he is awesome!

Was doing research on the car I wanted, and Bayside was one of the dealerships that was offering this vehicle. I made some contacts to places that had the car I was looking for and Bayside had the best price on the car, as well as the least amount of miles on the vehicle. I was contacted the next day about this vehicle, and explained to Greg that I was in the early stages of finding the car I wanted and he told me when I was ready to give him a call. The Carfax report for the vehicle was clean, and the others I was looking out were not. The list price of the car below any other place within 50 miles of my house offering the same vehicle that I was looking for. My family made a trip out there to take a look at the car and were treated very well by the staff, Greg went out of his way to help get us into the car we wanted at a decent price. Minor issues I noticed while test driving and checking the vehicle out were addressed and even put in the contract that they would take care of a very minor ding in the windshield. They give a 90-day warranty, and made the experience enjoyable (even if it is always a bit stressful to make such a huge purchase) and Greg was very personable and friendly, without being pushy. They offer free Carfax on all of their vehicles (be sure to check this before you make any decisions). Instead of looking at a KBB for prices do research on the vehicle you want and what it is priced at elsewhere, because you will find that Bayside offers some of the best value out there. It took me 2 weeks to decide they were the right place through my own research, and have found that no dealership in the world is following KBB. I got what others are asking $8,999 or more for (with more mileage for the same exact vehicle) and was able to get it for a much better price than that. If you are in the market for something specific make sure you include Bayside in your research, it was definitely worth it to my family.

So we came down to look at car it was our first stop. Frank was funny, helpful, knowledgeable with out being pushy. We intended to look around but found something that caught our eye, it was a little bit above our price range. They saw us a touch hesitant and wouldn't let us leave with out working out something for us. In the end we got something we were excited about and it was totally with in our range. I was in need of a new car but I still owed a small amount on my existing car so I was just a beginning search for a new car. My daughter had bought a car a Bayside and had a good experience so I went there first. I asked to speak with Greg and he was amazing. He helped me find just the right car. Adam helped me to get just the right affordable payment. I would recommend Bayside to others in fact my grandson will be going in this week to purchase his "first" car from them. I have read several reviews on Bayside and although I have not had to use their service center yet I hope that if there is anything wrong with the car after I have my mechanic look at it that they will be willing to fix it. Overall experience was very good.

Walked in to look at a different vehicle saw this one on the lot and fell in love. Not what i was thinking I would be looking at. But Caz was amazing he was very willing to let me explore the two vehicles and do a side by side comparison. the drive was smooth and fun. Zeek was very detailed in the financing and upfront about the costs of the deal. I will send more friends and family here to get their next vehicles. Ask for Caz, or RV they are knowledgeable and friendly. Did amazing with the teenager too.

Me and my boyfriend bought a Tahoe loved it at first. Then realized that there was electric problems . We kept playing phone tag with the dealership. Got us worried that we were going to get screwed over. They allowed us to return the Tahoe. Most used dealerships would not allow this. Greg was amazing he helped us out so much. With in that day we walked out a couple hours later with a Dodge Ram. The ram was a couple thousand more then the Tahoe an our monthly payment only went up sixty dollars. I'm very thankful for Greg to help us so much and to go out of his way to make our experience awesome. I would highly refer Bayside Auto.

I was not looking forward to buying a new car. I found a car like that I liked at Bayside auto. The car was already sold but there were many other cars to look at. I looked at two cars particularly. I reviewed Carfax reports on both cars test drove both cars and picked the one that I wanted. I planned on having my mechanic look at the car as well. Once I bought the car and brought the car to my mechanic we found a problem with an oil leak. I took the car back to Matt at Bayside, who had me bring it to their mechanic. They fixed the oil leak and were looking into issues with the airbag light, which had come on in the interim after we purchased the car.I dealt with both Matt and Adam at Bayside about the airbag issue; Adam stated he's not a mechanic, so he called Chris and got information from Chris at H&H automotive and had Chris fix the airbag issue. the car is fixed it runs great and I'm very happy.

I recently bought a truck from these guys and declined the warranty knowing that the truck would need repairs no matter how it was sugar coated. I declined the "tail light warranty" offered at the loan signing, as it seemed that after test driving several vehicles all of which had some problems(hey, they are used cars) there is no attempt to look into possible problems consumers may have after buying. thankfully I knew what I was getting (bad heater core) before I made my decision to buy. although I will not recommend this lot to anybody.

After reading all the positive reviews and finding the vehicle that I wanted on their website I thought I'd be making the almost 2 hour drive back home in my new truck. I did what every informed buyer that has a trade-in should do, and went to Kelley Blue Book and NADA to get trade-in values as well as what I should pay for the used vehicle I was interested in purchasing. When we tried to negotiate it was clear that they were only out to try and gouge my wife and I. They knew up front how far we had to drive and maybe thought they could use that to their advantage to jack up the price on us. They tried to offer us 2k under what our trade in was worth as well as tacking on almost 1k more to the vehicle I was there to purchase. When we asked how they came up with those numbers the salesman/finance guy literally told us to "throw those out the window", referring to our KBB print outs for both vehicles! As soon as he finished that ridiculous statement, my wife and I thanked him for his time and quickly left. Buyers beware!

on sat. sept 21st, we bought a 2000 civic from bayside. THAT SAME DAY, it broke down and it cost us $320.00 to fix it. we left the lot in everett after the purchase and did some shopping in monroe. then drove straight home to gold bar. about 60 mins total driving. that evening we drove back into Monroe and did some more shopping and had dinner. about 30 mins total driving. went to head home about 9pm and nothing. dead battery. tried to start it several times but to no avail. we had been running off the battery, which means the alternator had not been charging. in my opinion it had not been charging since before we bought the vehicle because the battery should have lasted longer than what it did if it was fully charged. tow driver showed up and tested the alternator. not charging. and, not only did he give us a ride home, clear into gold bar, he took the car back to his shop in monroe and fixed it. a $320.00 repair on the same day we bought the car!!! since this was after hours, I went to facebook hoping to reach someone from bayside. I posted what had taken place. someone under the name of "Bayside Auto Sales" responded immediately. this is their exact response: "We will be happy to get it fixed right for you....so sorry that happened!! There is no way to tell if something will fail in the future and how soon with a system check....but we will absolutely take care of you and your new car!!" end quote. I left my number with this person but never heard anything back. at the time i didnt know who the responder was. it was simply a response from "Bayside Auto Sales". come to find out, the responder was Ron. the owner! I waited for a return call. never got it. fast forward to (Monday, sept 23rd) ...still hadnt gotten a return call. we pick up the car from the repair shop, pay $320.00 and drive home. I immediately call bayside and speak to the manager, John Shiels. it seemed he was more interested in playing "manager" than he was in making things right. i explained that SOMEONE told me on facebook, "yes, we'll absolutely take care of you..." but i didnt know who that person was. he had a few choice words as to why he WASN'T going to take care of me. aside from asking me, "who told you that???" he also said... 1. "we don't pay for services provided by anyone but us." well, your "services" weren't around at 9pm Saturday night when we were stuck sitting in the parking lot with a dead battery. 2. "you lowballed us and saved nearly $700.00- I lost money on that sale." #1, we didn't lowball, we offered. #2, you accepted. #3, you lost money? not my problem. #4, why'd you accept the 'lowball' offer? #5, i doubt you lost money anyway. #6, don't want to lose money? don't accept lowball offers. #7, so since we now have an "extra $700.00", we should just let you off the hook and pay for it ourselves??? 3. "an alternator can go bad at any time." yep. they can. and its my opinion that it went bad long before we even made it to your lot. a car can run for several days off the battery. we lasted a mere 90 mins. 4. "your repair guy charged you way too much." so if he charged $20.00 less you'd be handling this entirely different??? its irrelevant. 5. "I don't have the money to fix it." yes, he said that. im pretty sure a successful car lot has $320.00 in petty cash somewhere. 6. "if we had to go back and fix everything that goes wrong with cars we sell, we'd be out of business." #1, thats very telling. #2, as if we've had the car for 6 months and added 5000 miles on it, and now we're expecting free repairs. at the point of breakdown he hadn't even owned it for 24 hours. in the end, he declined to accept any responsibility that his lot sold a car that shouldn't have been up for sale in the first place. obviously they don't do routine system checks to make sure the car is functioning properly prior to being sold to the public. so I went back and updated my facebook post. Ron, the owner got involved again and the issue is now resolved.

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy they made it buy a car. No b.s., just good prices, good service and good cars. Very laid back and friendly environment. I didn't feel like I was pressured by the sales staff at all, but Brock was more willing to help me out when I was ready. I can't say enough good about them. I was nervous about the financing as I have always paid cash for vehicles, but they couldn't have made than any easier either. If you are in the market for a use car, please make this the first place you visit... you won't regret it!

I found a car that looked good on Cars.com and all the info was good. I spoke with them at Bayside several times and asked lots of questions. I was impressed! I was coming from quite a distance so I wanted NO surprises! Then reality came... but too late. They had said they were A+ rated with BBB when in fact they were NOT even members of BBB. Then they told me that this car had never been in an accident, well it turned out it had been in a bad accident with some pretty major damage that had been covered over well enough that it was not readily noticeable and when they did all of their nice photo shots they made sure the damaged areas did not show. Then they said the car had been well maintained by Toyota Service Centers when in fact it had been VERY poorly cared for as the oil was low and VERY dirty plus there were other issues that started to surface that made it very obvious that this car had NOT been well cared for AT ALL! I wanted them to make it right. Their answer was bring it back at my expense and they would give me my money back. I finally said I was bringing it back as they were not willing to cover the cost of getting it fixed and I was tired of dealing with them and I had finally found someone to take a day off to drive over to pick me up and bring me back home. Well then they tell me they won't give me all of my money back. They were going to keep over $1200.00 of my money. Finally I said OK. I show up at their lot with the car in better shape than what it was when I got it as I had had some work and servicing done to it already and now I'm told they are going to give me yet another $400.00 cut in returned funds. I said that was not right as they had agreed about 16 hours earlier to a figure $400.00 higher than what they were saying now. Finally he throws the keys and paper work back at me and tells me to get off their lot. I took over a $2300.00 shafting on this car. Oh yes, and they told me that they were selling it to me below their cost on it and I took it to 4 other car buyers that buy at the same auctions that Bayside goes to and they every one said that car would have never sold at auction for half of what Bayside said it cost them. Three of these buyers were from Everett, WA and one from the other side of the state. These guys are some of the most dishonest people you could ever deal with! One of the car dealers I spoke with there in Everett said my story was not the first he had heard like this about Bayside Auto Sales.
