Horrible customer service I bought a preowned used truck just over a year ago I've had nothing but problems been in and out of their service shop multiple times I was just told by AutoNation Ford sales manager named Devon to come in with my truck they can work me a deal and get me and something better I get there and ask for Devon he immediately pushes me off to a sales rep for two hour dident speak to Devon again untill i was told sorry about your luck on a new truck in other words worst place to buy a truck or car would never go back and would never recommend anyone to go there unless you want shortly customer service and to be beat around the bush when a probly occupies

I went to Autonation to look at a car that I am hoping to buy in the future, A Ford Focus ST 2016. I arrived at the location and was helped instantly by a wonderful representative named Alexander N. who was extremely helpful on finding everything I needed. He showed me the car i was looking at. Told me about possible options. He showed me cars that were in a similar price bracket to what i was looking at. He gave me info about the refurbishment program that autonation has. And was just one of the most helpful people i have met at car dealerships.

Was looking for a Lexus 460 and the salesman, David L., found the perfect car for us. It had only 1700 miles on it, was in perfect condition, and was only a few months old. The process was efficient and the car was delivered in mint condition. At no time were we rushed or pressured to purchase and every effort was made to get us the car we wanted. I purchased and had my F-150 serviced every 5 thousand miles at this dealership for the past 6 years. I was at the service department before they even opened Saturday morning and basically told me since I did not have an appointment they couldn't perform an oil change and a tire rotation. Bought a 2015 Ford Fiesta Titanium for my wife last week. Could not be happier with the car, the service and attitude of everyone at this AutoNation dealership. Oil change and tire rotation

We are snowbirds from Virginia and took our Ford Expedition into Ford AutoNation in Sanford for a oil change and tire rotation. They did an excellent job and even washed our SUV for free. We did have to wait for a little time and I asked how much longer it would take to get our Expedition back and was told 10 min because they were washing our SUV. When they finished we were told there was no charge for the oil change and tire rotation and when we asked why there was no charge we were told it was because we had to wait too long. I have never had that happen, ever!! Usually there is an apology for the wait and here is your bill. We had big screen tv to watch, free coffee and snacks so we did not mind the wait. This was totally unexpected!! Great customer service and friendly staff. I highly recommend this dealership!!! They care about their customers!!

My family has a 2011 Ford Fusion a very nice car however recently we've had some problems with it it has a loose control arm and the AC isn't working properly when we brought it in for service they charged us a $100 deductible and didn't fix anything no we're on our paperwork was there anything about a deductible on the warranty these people are only interested in putting your money in their pockets and not helping you with your problems and concerns with your vehicle

Buying a car these days is not as fun as it used to be. The highlight of my recent buying trip was the customer service I received. This is the second car I purchased from AutoNation Sanford, Rich, the internet Manager started the process off by not be pushy when asking if I wanted to make an apt to see the cars they had. I told him I wasn't sure. He sd okay, if you decide not to come down, just let me know. I went down to the dealer. It did take a while, but most of that was my indecision, I think. Ed, Jesse and Rich sat and talked to my about my options and what they could do for me. I appreciated that a lot. So finally I decided. When he was ready, Lee from financing came over and escorted me to his office. Again not pushy. I felt comfortable. I recommend this dealer because I feel I could trust them. I will do business with them again!!!

I took my Explorer in knowing I needed a battery. I had called first and was told they probably could not check it because they were busy, but I went anyway. This is from the place that I had bought it. After waiting, I was given a bill for a battery, installation and diagnostic check. No explanation of the charges. It would have been nice to have been told first what I needed, even though I knew what that was. Also, I feel I should not have been charged a diagnostic charge because I told them what I needed, not the other way around, and also an installation charge of $20. But in the past I have always been treated great and my vehicle has been serviced right the first time. No returns.

In for a 65,000 maintenance service. 2 problems; service tech didn't reset the "oil change required" portion of the computer and didn't rotate my tires. Had to inform the service writer about the "oil change required" light and then return to the dealership to have the tires rotated.

Let me start by saying we (my wife and I) hate shopping for cars. This time we used the USAA purchase program and were put in touch with Jenny at the AutoNation Direct team and she found a car with a little more options then what we wanted but came up with a good price that was right where we were looking to keep our budget. The car was for our son in college to commute so we wanted good MPG and good safety ratings. Jenny set an appointment with David at the AutoNation Ford in Sanford for us to view and test drive the car, afterwards the negotiations were fast and we presented them with the price estimate we received from AutoNation Direct and they actually beat that by $500! Here's why I rated 5 stars - the next day I was looking at the paper work and on the sales agreement saw the price was $1,000 more than we agreed to, I called and was not happy and thought how could I have made this mistake as it all seemed to add up fine when signing. Long story short the sales management team was very nice and willing to listen and then explained the paperwork - it was my mistake as the paperwork from AutoNation Direct had the incentives/rebates in a different position then the sales agreement and when I took a good look I saw that we were given the deal we agreed too! The staff was ready to take the car back or take time to see what they could do to make sure we were happy - after noticing the mistake was mine I apologized and am quite happy with the way the sale went. I would say they were very professional and willing to listen, there was no high pressure (which we hate) and everyone was friendly! Our sales person was David and the Sales Managers we talk to were Luis and Bill, we will do business with them again when we are ready for our next vehicle.

My husband and I stopped in on a Sunday to checkout what cars were available at Autonation. We were greeted by salesmen Edriel Rodriguez. Ed asked us some questions to help us narrow down what we were looking for. He took his time and really seemed to want to help us find the right car for us. We never felt rushed or pressured in any way to just hurry and buy something so he could make a quick commission and move on. The dealership was clean, comfortable,well stocked, and the staff was very attentive from start to finish. I visited AutoNation Ford on 1/25/2015 after looking on their website for used cares either CPO or every day used. They listed a 2007 Blue Ford Mustang at $8,895 which is high except by NADA standards which is typically higher then any other standard (KBB, Black Book Etc). I used the internet chat feature to make sure the car was at least on the lot, they were friendly enough and accepted that I didn't want to give my e-mail or my phone number. The problem started after I got to the lot and physically looked at the car. There were many warning signs this car was not what it appeared to be. The first one was when I specifically asked to see it the sales person didn't bother to grab the keys so either A: it could go for a test drive or B: so I could hear it run, the second issue I noticed after popping the hood was the engine had an abnormal amount of dirt dust and grime, the second issue was it looked like it hadn't been even turned over in awhile based on the oil cap it wasn't bone dry but pretty close. The biggest issue was the hood wouldn't close, which when I inspected it further looked like it had front end damage, the hood latch was loose and slightly tilted forward. When I mentioned it the salesmen said no not at all! ran his finger across the hood looking for a break in the seam, which only occurs when there is damage to the hood / anything mid grill and up if they ran over a curb or got stuck on a parking block it could easily cause this damage. With all that aside talking about "market price" I was informed they use the NADA standard, which is fine except NADA only grades top quality cars not ones with body damage. So this car was FAR from market price. If you are shopping used I would be VERY VERY skeptical about buying from this dealer, The Pony Car they are famous was in such bad shape makes you wonder how they treat other brands.

Having visited several neighboring dealerships (Ford Only) I happened upon Auto Nation Ford in Sanford as none of the other dealerships, including one I have dealt with for more than twenty years, seemed to interested in finding the vehicle I was looking for, or making any serious effort in making the deal happen. I can say from the moment I called Auto Nation Sanford everyone I talked to was extremely helpful and eager to help me find the vehicle I wanted. The internet Sales Manager was my salesman as I had researched vehicles before visiting the showroom. I have never had anyone work so hard to make the deal fit all my needs and at the price I needed to pay. I recently bought a new car from Autonation Ford. The buying process took the whole day, but George (the salesperson) was very friendly and helpful. He took the time to explain various APR options and helped get a reasonable deal. I would recommend going to see George if you go in to look for a car. The person that handled the warranty/paperwork was a little more 'high pressure.' He basically tried to tell me that my car was going to break all the time b/c of the features that I got and I would need a long warranty. I didn't enjoy that part of the experience. On the way out, my touchscreen was having some issues. It took about a month to resolve due to going in getting it reset, then going in again and them telling me that they need to order it. Then when I went it for the replacement, they ordered the wrong part. I then came in again when they got the right part and they fixed it. It's been working great since then, just took longer than it should have.Overall, I think it was a good experience for my first new car purchase. I would highly recommend George as he was very kind and helpful. He also followed up with me during the whole month it took to resolve the touchscreen issue.

Met with a nice salesman, John Nieves. He was very knowledgeable about the truck products and helpful in showing several vehicles. He was never pushy, always checking to what we wanted in a vehicle. We had a couple "back and forths" with pricing and financing and in the end, gave us what we asked for - more money for our trade-in and lower interest rate for financing. We did the deal late at night actually after they closed but the salesman and the finance manager stayed and got us into the vehicle. We bought the XLT model which they say was the "stripped down" model, but it had everything we expected, Sync, Power Windows & Locks, Siruis radio, tow package. this was the echo-boost engine that on average gives good gas mileage, but when power is needed can call on the duel turbo's to give it the 11,300 lb. towing capacity - better than the V-8. Overall we love the truck and very pleased with the buying experience at AutoNation, Sanford, FL

We recently bought a fusion from autonation. At first we thought it was out of our price range but after telling them what we wanted to out down a pay a month they met our goal. Our salesman George Cummings was extremely knowledgeable. Going in, we weren't sure what we wanted but after talking with George helped us make our decision. Even after we bought the car he was more than willing to bend over backwards and help us anyway he could. Overall price good, finance rate unbeatable. Banks quoted us a 15.9, they got us down to a 2.9%. Very good experience and if you go here make sure you see George

My husband and I bought our Jeep Liberty (which we love) from AutoNation Ford in Sanford. Our salesman, George Cummings, was wonderful. He was not pushy and listened to what we were looking for and showed us great options within our price range. He made what can be a stressful experience easy to get through. About a month after we got our car it started to fall apart in some areas. The window regulator broke, the sides of the front doors came apart and now one of the back doors will not open. This was disappointing to us, but otherwise the car is in great shape. We definitely recommend that if you visit this AutoNation that you go in and ask for George. He will give you a great buying experience.

Picked up a new Expedition here. Worst post sales service ever. Did not get any manuals or package. Kept calling Bob Lavin and kept getting BS. Left him many messages and was told the manuals were on back order. This was false info too. After over a month, received the manuals without the leather binder or the key code. Won't bother buying any cars here- salespeople are too lazy to respond to customers. They just don't care. Informed Ford Motor company about my experience.

We were in the process of buying a brand new 2014 Ford Fusion. It was located at another dealership. We worked with an initial sales person Devin and finance guy called Luis. We have very high credit and were ready to buy. We worked prices for an hour, then said we wanted to go home and talk it over. Sales person gave me his card to call him. Next morning I called, he didn't answer, and get this, his voicemail is not set up so I can't leave a message!! How can a sales person expect to stay in touch when he can't even set up his voicemail on his phone!We go back to the dealership, explain our situation to the receptionist. Another sales person comes to help named JR. He brings over another finance manager who immediately tells me since we were Costco customers they do not go down in prices at all. I explain the other manager did, and that we were very close in agreement in price for the 35k car! We have a trade in we thought we would work with. The new sales guy JR talks to us while we wait. I explain I'm from Jersey and I can be stubborn - knowing what my bottom line was and would be tough unless I can get it or get close. JR tells me he is from Indiana, and he is tougher than Jersey people. Hello? I'm close to buying a car from him and he is going to insult me?We walked out of there - and we will never go back! Instead we drove 3 hrs to the dealership who had the car. They came in $1,000 lower than the AutoNation best price! So don't waste your time going here even if you have the costco membership! We dealt with Al Packer Ford in West Palm - Luce was our salesperson and she was AMAZING!!!!! We bought our 2014 Ford Fusion for a great price, exactly what we wanted. We also own a 2013 Ford Mustang convertible bought new from Don Reid Ford in Maitland.

I had been searching for just the right Mustang for me for months. Non-negotiable must haves included leather interior, low miles, black, convertible and GT!! I found what I thought was the perfect car and drove to the nearby dealership, only to discover it was gone. Knowing I was extremely disappointed, my boyfriend got online when we got back home and searched until he found another seemingly awesome Mustang. I was somewhat skeptical because this car was at a Dealer located more than 250 miles from me and I really didn't want to negotiate long distance, not to mention it was late Sunday afternoon. My boyfriend ended up talking to the sales rep, took pictures of my Mustang trade and through a series of phone calls, got the price exactly where I needed it to be. On Aug.31, 2014, I visited AutoNation Ford in Sanford, FL to look at a used 2012 Ford Fusion. I had already reviewed the auto online, knew I would like it, but wanted to test drive it and confirm the internet info. I called ahead and had an apt. with Devin Tamargo. He was very cordial and had the car ready at the curb for me to test drive. We went over some of the extras, and I was very happy. I was not prepared to purchase the car that day as I had 2 other places to visit that also had used Ford Fusions, but because of the good feeling and assistance by Devin and the staff, I wound up driving my newer car off the lot that day. Financing was handled efficiently and every effort was made to make me feel comfortable and not to go over my head with the payments. I would highly recommend AutoNation to anyone looking for a Ford or any other used car on their lot.

Perhaps this dealership specializes in new car sales and that accounts for the positive reviews. They have a three-day return policy on used cars, and you just might need it if you buy pre-owned from them. GET THE VEHICLE INSPECTED BY A THIRD PARTY as soon as possible if you decide to buy here. And stay under 150 miles in the first three days, until you are sure you want to keep it.I am a level-headed shopper, usually do not get so emotional about business transactions, but I have been reduced to tears of frustration on this one. Their used car department is awful. After several "honest mistakes" (lies?) where I gave them the benefit of the doubt, I finally decided to return both cars I bought. The first one was returned due to undisclosed problems which would cost too much to repair, on top of what I had already paid. I attempted to remain respectful and pleasant (even though I was getting suspicious), brought back the first car, and found a different, newer, slightly more expensive one with fewer miles. Took it home, had it inspected the next morning, and found the condition of it to be worse than the one I had purchased prior. I brought back the second car right away, and the runaround began. I won't go into a play-by-play, but I was getting very frustrated, passed around from person to person, told to call my bank, made to sit and wait even though there was only one other customer on the premises, etc. I provided proof that my check had cleared and yet I couldn't get answers. As I headed for the door with no real answers, I tried to calmly express my frustration to the manager. He literally nodded, smiled, and said nothing. I was flabbergasted. So here I sit, more than two weeks later, unable to access my money to put toward a new vehicle. My check had already cleared when I returned the car, and I have yet to receive my money or a phone call (as promised) telling me when my check is ready. I have called several times and they are "in a meeting" or out. I have left countless voicemails. Overall, the salesman was very nice and I have a hunch none of this was his fault, but the dealership is not to be trusted. I am writing this review because I hope to save at least one more consumer the aggravation I experienced at AutoNation Ford in Sanford.

1999 Toyota Avalon described by the dealer as "pampered". It was raining when I looked at the car and it had been polished. It looked attractive. I was only permitted to drive it in the parking lot. It drove nicely. The car was advertised as for sale at $3495.00. I agreed to purchase it. After a substantial wait I was brought the paperwork to sign. The price had inflated to $5700.00. I protested and the price was "reduced" to $4700.00 Since my neighbor had ridden with me I chose to let him drive the car home.The car was parked at my residence until the next morning. Well I went to look at my purchas the next morning. I removed the plastic covering on my carpet and found it was soaked. I also found the ignition key was defective. The CD player and CD changer were not in the car (It was an advertised Accessory) I then posted an email to the salesmen and said I'd like to discuss the problems with the car. The following day an individual called and said he would have the used car sales manager call me (The car could be returned in 3 days, no questions asked) Since this is a large dealership I thought the problems were going to be addressed, so I waited for the used car manager to call. A week passed and sent an email telling the manager when I was going to be available. Finally after the tenth day he called. He was rude unsympathetic and belligerant to the point Where I cursed him and hung up. He had made it very clear he was not interested in listening to me and was going to do nothing.After this interlude other problems surfaced with the car.My trust was misplaced in thinking this was a reputable dealership. "Buy here,Pay here" Dealerships are more trustworthy than Auto Nation Ford. Be carefull dealing here!!

I tried to help the ex buy a car. With her second bout of cancer behind her and many health bills behind we knew it would be a tough road but this was ridiculous!! We were honest about the lead weight we were trading in and no money down and could only pay 150.00 per month. Sure we can do that! they said. They pinged her credit and came back with over 200.00 a month saying it's only a little over 10 more a week. It may have been only 10+ a week more but they weren't willing to pay it! Then I get a call today from the same salesman (I use that term out of respect for you readers.) with the same silly offer on a basic car with mod miles, but not bad to be honest. Don't believe anything these people tell you up front and if you buy take a lawyer with you to look over the contract from these people. For salesmen and women to be known as a thief or getting a kick out of ripping people off I just wonder how they live with themselves. I guess this will read as a badge of honor for all the car salespeople out there. With that said, we're still looking and if you know of an honest dealership and salesperson, we would love to hear from you. ;)

I had high hopes of buying a 2013 Ford Edge from them in the last days of the year. We had contacted the dealer via internet sales and selected a vehicle. When my wife & I went there within a short few minutes it was obvious this was the dealership the commercial satire was about when the associate had to ask his manager about everything, availability, price, a cup of water...After three rounds of "let me check with the sales manager" the conclusion was the car we had selected was not going to be discounted any more. This practice was even worse with the several thousands of dollars of After-sale price additional fees (nitrogen air in the tired that were filled at the manufacturer was going to cost us $79 in addition to the selling price) He showed us two more vehicles as were leaving, one was perfect and he said he'd get the deal put together for us by the morning. But instead, he emailed that they could not make it work either. If you like games, go to Auto Nation/Courtesy Ford in Sanford. I won't again, I'll go to Gary Yeoman Ford.

As for the facility, the only drawback is that is set apart from other dealerships and separated by an interstate highway. The grounds themselves and the showroom are very well kept. My wife and I recently went into check out the 2012 Fusion, and had a great experience. Our previous car buying trips were all filled with high pressure sales pitches, painful memories, and ended in total frustration. This experience was totally the opposite. James did an amazing job of working with us to find the vehicle that was right for us, at the price we wanted. He was very knowledgeable about all of the features, equipment, and accessories in all of the models that we had any inquiries about. He was very helpful, friendly, humorous, and totally made this deal happen for us. After we had found the vehicle we wanted the entire team made the rest of the process very smooth. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to go see James, as he was an AMAZING point of contact and made this experience completely different than all of my past experiences.

Salesman did not know his product. I had to tell this salesman that Ford does make an 8ft. box on F-150s. Salesman insisted that this was not the case. But of course, there was no F-150 with an 8ft box on the lot to show him. Salesman did a search of the dealers in the area for a truck to my liking. Salesman located a truck (with an 8ft bed, imagine that!) but would not tell me where the truck was. This immediately gave me a suspicious vibe from him. Salesman wasted no time in pressuring me on purchasing a truck that I had not even laid eyes on yet. I was disappointed in my trade-in value. Dinging me $500 for needing new tires. My vehicle was in no need of new tires. Tire condition means absolutely nothing for a trade-in. I expressed my disappointment with my appraised value and the salesman told me "don't even look at that." I left shortly after and accomplished nothing.

I have purchased several cars and this was the best experience I've ever had. John Doggett was a class act during the entire process. I had not planned to buy as I was "just looking". I had been looking at F150's for some time and was convinced that there was not one in Florida with the exact options I wanted. Not only did they have the truck I wanted, they gave me a great price, fair trade and treated me respectfully. Even the finance person, Melissa, was great to work with. I've had the truck 2 days and John has called several times ti make sure I am in "sync" with the electronics and happy with everything to date. I submitted a request for additional information via the internet stating my interest in purchasing a Ford 150 Platinum edition. I received an email and a phone call from John Doggett within an hour. I explained my wish to trade two vehicles and he invited me to the dealership to test drive several engine types to help me make the final decision. We agreed upon a time and at lunch I met John and found him knowledgeable. I selected a vehicle and he had me park it in an area where sold cars were placed. I agreed to bring the two vehicles the next day to be evaluated but requested to receive an estimate and preliminary trade values so I could determine if this was worth my time. John asked that I submit vehicle information, payoff, and submit a credit application and I submitted by email the items requested. Later that evening I returned with my partner to show him the vehicle. However the vehicle was not where I had parked it and was not on the lot. Since John had already left for the day a salesman agreed to leave a note but was not willing to allow us to walk the lot. The next afternoon I took the first vehicle for evaluation. An older gentleman informed me he needed to drive the car and take several photos. This was an event I had not experienced. The test drive was non eventful however his attitude was curt. I then had a discussion with John asking for some preliminary figures associated with the trade. At this point he informs me he has bad news. The car I selected had been sold. I now am extremely agitated because the afternoon before he had placed a sold sign on the vehicle. I voice my frustration and indicate that I am not sure why this must be such a laborious event and again requested an estimate of the value of my trades. He summons a manager who informs me how difficult this will be without seeing the second vehicle even though I had furnished the VIN. I was agitated with the lack of urgency. It is apparent at this point I must bring the truck to the dealership before they will give me many details. Upon my return to the dealership with the truck, Im informed that John is with another customer. My keys are given to another salesman who takes my truck for a test drive not asking me to drive along. Upon his return, he gives me my keys and does not inform me of the next step. I wait a few minutes but no one approaches with details. Again there seems to be no urgency. The older gentleman that drove my first vehicle saw me standing in the lobby but never acknowledged and appeared uneager to help. I left the dealership around 5:00 and went to the Chevrolet dealership and bought a vehicle within 3 hours and they never saw one of my trades until the next day. I have yet to receive any correspondence from John or the dealership. I am grateful I did not purchase a car from this dealership.

Theo was great to work with, if you're looking for a new car try out Courtesy Ford in Sanford. Theo was very patient, gave me good deal and followed through after the sale. He worked past quitting time the night I bought my car.I've driven the car a couple thousand miles so far. It has provided the fuel economy advertised during this time. I'm averaging around 32 mpg around town. I haven't had the opportunity to take it on a road trip yet and can't report on the highway mileage.I purchased the Ford Fiesta.I like the bluetooth Sync features and use them on a regular basis for hands free operation of my phone and to access media files on blue tooth enabled devices.

Exceptional Sales Staff, willing to negotiate and take all terms into consideration. Decison between Nissan and Ford and Ford came out on top. It is a testimate to their sales resentatives, willing to negotiate and open mindness. From the begininng of the process, Theo (Sales Rep) was professional, intuative and truly had our best interests at heart. Sales Managers are skilled in the art of negotiations. Not pushy, though very knowledgeable and informed about the sales process. Letter that was sent to Salesperson SANDRA and General Manager JIM DOYE:Sandra, I felt the need to write to you and say how unprofessional your service was. Your screw up cost me hundreds of dollars in travel expenses. Although the ad stated this particular feature FIRST, the first question that I asked you and the other 20+ dealers I called over the past week was, "Does the car have climate controlled seats?", and stated that it was most important. I also asked about the color, which is also incorrect (Brown) in the ad. You had a moment of hesitance that came across as if being too much of an effort to verify. You said it looked "Brownish" and assured me that it had the climate controlled seats. You work at a FORD dealership, do you not know your product??? I also asked about the Satellite radio and IPOD connectivity. You then insisted that I must come this weekend and that next weekend was not acceptable. I cancelled a deposit in Illinois (Tom Peck)on a 2009 car with "climate controlled seats".The clincher was when you told your sales manager that I never mentioned the first words of your ad "Climate Controlled seats". Then to top it off, you disappeared and were afraid to deal with your mistake. I suggest you acquire some integrity. Jim, I suggest you find another job, glorified car salesman. You are are also unprofessional if you cannot manage to talk to a customer that drove 600 miles each way(that's 1200 miles on my Infinity), spent $150+ in gas, $100 on a room, all to purchase a car in good faith when your dealership was clearly in the wrong. Your company didn't offer me any restitution, a meal, gas, lodging, etc. I didn't even receive an apology, What I got was a "There is nothing I can say" then when I said "everything happens for a reason," they seemed to be astonished that I wasn't raving mad and said "you are better than me". I called you several times and Melissa gave you my message while I was on the phone with her. You evidently didn't think I was worth the time. When I speak with Auto Nation during the week I will provide proof of all of the dealers I have called and explain how wonderful my experience was with your dealership.
