I didn't expect needing new tires at 22K mileage. I'm glad service dept. pointed out the wear. Quote was line item inclusive and easy to compare other options. Competitive prices...when discounts were included...made it easy to decide on the service and reputation of Cochran. I didn't know that the Commonwealth of PA charged $1 per tire tax.

March 11th purchase 2013 Hyundai Sonata, with a broken rear seat latch. March 13th noticed scratches on lower rear fender, door and rocker panel which I hadnt seen when I took delivery.March 13th sent email with pics to Mike Mitolo stating the I wanted to return the car under the Three days no questions asked return rule. Got call to come in on March 15th to talk to Mike.Mike was busy and I was to talk to Josh Barszczowski instead. He told me that they would not take the car back, since I signed the Moneyback Guarantee and that I only noticed the brokenlatch and not the scratches. I did show him a repair estimate from the Cochran Mrvl repairfacility, in the amount of $915.81 to which he replied, that is kind of high and offered to havehis people look at it for an estimate. I strongly object to having to pay for a car that they knew had those scratches, especially since the car had been washed the day I bought it. I also content that both, the latch and the scratches should have been replaced and repaired respectively prior to putting it onto the lot. Even after engaging Robert Fescmyer both issues are still unresolved to my satisfaction to this day April 22nd

Monday, March 7, my Altima was serviced because of the notice I had received about the hood latch may be defected. Cochran service people and sales people are ALWAYS very helpful. I shall return soon for a State inspection and make arrangements for a new vehicle.

My last review, posted 12/19/2015, explained how I was cheated by this dealership during a routine inspection. Specifically, they refused to pass me for inspection because of a small crack in my bumper, even though they readily admitted that duct tape would moot the issue. They also failed to explain how this was a "hazard" according to the PA Code and, desperate to sound legitimate, came up with the excuse that the "hazard" was the risk of a pedestrian scratching their leg if they bumped up against my car. Of course this is not the intent of the law. After admitting duct tape would moot their concern, they then made something up about a "bracket" under the bumper that needed to be replaced by their body shop, even though they had just told me that the bracket was fine.So, as an update to my last review, I have gotten opinions from three different mechanics and one attorney. Cochran was wrong, everyone agreed.Now, what is worse, the scratch in my bumper was made worse by Cochran. In trying to look at it, they bent part of the cracked bumper back and weakened the plastic. While I could have just lined it up and glued/taped it in place, I may now be out a large sum of money because they made it much worse. I have pictures before and after.In short, avoid this dealership at all costs. Every mechanic I explained my story to laughed at it and confirmed that this was a scam. My frustration is only aggravated by the fact that I purchased my car here and now have a [worthless] warranty.

I just purchased my 2nd new Nissan from #1 Cochran Nissan of South Hills. Both times were very pleasant experiences. I went in knowing little about leasing but wanted to learn more as I felt that leasing would be a better option for me at this point in my life. The salesman, Alan Etkins, explained the ins and outs of leasing very clearly and wanted to make sure I understood it and that it was right for me. Only then did we discuss cars and what he could do for me. I feel that I got a very good deal with the Murano that I purchased. The sales manager, Bret, also made it a point to come out and greet me each time I went in. It was a very satisfying experience. I also want to mention the Service Department as I used it for all service work on my previous Nissan Rogue. Everything from check-in to explaining all work done and check-out is streamlined and very customer oriented as are the service advisors.

My truck has been to this dealer numerous times and each time was horrible. My most recent experience it was taken in for the annual inspection free inspection. It needed a few minor repairs that did not cause it to fail inspection. I set the repairs up to have done the following week. I dropped it off the night before so they had it first thing. I finally heard from a service writer at 2:00. He said it would be done at 3 or 3:30 and he would call to get my credit card to pay for the service. I did not hear from him again. I had to call him at 4:30 and left a message. Did not hear from him again until I called him at 5:30. At that time I was informed that he forgot to tell them the work that needed to be done and only the inspection was done. I told him I would call him back if I could find a ride to work the following day so I could leave it. I tried to call him back and had to leave a message. Didn't hear from him until 5:50 (they close at 6:00) when I had to call him back. Needless to say I picked up the truck and will get it done elsewhere. I was trying to give them business and trying to pay them but apparently the service wasn't worth their time. Not only will I never buy a Cochran vehicle, I will not take my vehicle back for the yearly free inspection. I would rather pay someone who wants my business and has better customer service.

I usually have my youngest child with me and I appreciate that they perform fast service, its easy to drive into the service area and get my daughter out, take care of business and walk into the waiting area. The waiting area has a tv and childrens books, tables and bathrooms right there. I have had a much better experience here than other places to get an oil change.

We were up there to buy a Juke NISMO RS and I felt like we were getting a decent price for the car but a really REALLY low price for my trade in. Allen was our sales man and when I told him I though it was too low and that I had done my research and he said things like "well I do not know where you got that from", "that is all your going to get", etc. I told him that I would sign for 4500 (up from 3000), I had NADA and Kelly Blue book numbers backing me up but they would not budge. I told him that I thought he was a nice guy, but that I was going to go to another Nissan dealer and see what they offered me and that if they did not give me what I was asking for then I would be back, he said okay and with that I was off to another dealership. I walked into the other dealership with the same paper work and gave him my expectations and they happily met them and gave me the price I wanted. I bought the car right there. I put a 500.00 dollar deposit down so that they could order my car (Cochran did not have it either).If that was the end of the story I would not be here writing this review right now. As I was pulling out of the new dealership I got a call from Bret (who is a manager!) at first very nice asking what happened. I told him that I gave Allen a chance to give me a price that I thought was fair and he told me "okay" when I told him I was going to get a second opinion. Now all of a sudden he was "willing to work with me" all I had to do was "turn around and go get my deposit back right now". I said that I was not going to do that, that it was not about pride, but about getting a fair deal. He said "What if I told you I would give you 5000 for your car". I told him that I was not going to go back and put out a salesman and dealer who met my expectations the first time and that Allen knew I was going elsewhere to take a better deal if I got it. He said it must be about pride because he now has the better deal. I advised that I had now been buying a new car for two days and I was done. He challenged everything I said, pressed me for details and proceeded to try some silly numbers game with me like I do not have 2 degrees and top 10% IQ (BRET IF YOU ARE READING THIS THE ONLY PRICE THAT MATTERS IS THE AMOUNT I FINANCED IN THE END FOR THE SAME CAR). When he started screaming louder I just hung up. I was later greeted with a voicemail from him (now nice again) "It's Bret I guess we got disconnected" (ya must have), and then he continued to play his numbers game again for about 90 seconds. I feel like I would have been much better off if I would have just not bothered with Cochran, which is why I am writing this review. One does not need to go through so much stress just to buy a car. At Cochran they say it is a better car buying experience but it is really just them telling you what to pay and they tell you what to take for your car, they aren't interested in dealing unless you put their back against the wall and I am not about that, I just wanted what I thought was a fair price and I got it, from someone else, the only thing I got from here was stress and frustration.

I have to say I don't typically post comments but every time my car needs to be serviced I am pleasantly surprised by the level of service. I bought my car last October I worked with Josue, who was patient and very helpful. He went over ALL of the options my vehicle had to be sure I knew how it worked. I was trading in a much older vehicle so the options in my new murano were quite different. This was also the first time I bought from a large dealership I love the email setup. I get coupons and alerts when I need to service my vehicle....which is awesome because I always forget. Finally the service department (josh and zach are who I've dealt with most) have been outstanding. I thought they would try to nickle and dime you with small fixes.....and truly they have not. I am so pleased with south hills nissan. I would buy my next car or recommend a friend to purchase a car here. So far it's been an excellent experience for me.

I didn't buy my 2010 Nissan Murano from #1 Cochran Nissan of South Hills but from day one when I returned to Pittsburgh with my new vehicle and registered it with them, I have had nothing but top quality treatment. When I call Zack Sikora with questions, problems and/or for vehicle servicing, he returns the call promptly, asks what is the problem, and schedules the appointment at my convenience. When I arrive at the dealership, he reviews what I told him about the vehicle. After my vehicle is checked, he tells me what needs to be done to solve the problem and what additional things were found that needed done to keep my vehicle running smoothly. The work is performed quickly and my vehicle gets a car wash. I drive away feeling safer in my beautiful vehicle. When I buy another new vehicle, I will purchase it from #l Cochran Nissan of South Hills. Thank you, Zack!

I just wanted to recognize and applaud my Service Advisor - Joshua D'Loss. Every time I go in for service Josh goes above and beyond my customer service expectations. I would recommend Josh to everybody. I know that everyone who works for Rob Cochran will be courteous, caring and wants you to leave satisfied, but Josh goes beyond that !! I just can't say enough great things about Josh and how valuable he is to #1 Cochran. He deserves a reward, raise and/or pat on the back (Well done Josh). I took my 2011 Sentra to Cochran Nissan in the South Hills. My low pressure light came on for the second time in the two weeks I owned my car. Thought that was unusual. So I went up and spoke to them for a second time. The first time they only put air in. This time they figured maybe it was more serious. It was. There was a nail in the tread. They sailed it up and did it all within 45 minutes. Not bad.They are all good people up there particularly Zac Sikora. He is tremendous and listens to you and tries to help. My last car had problems and I spoke with Zac freqeuntly. He always had the time and that is why I went back to Cochran Nissan in the South Hills.

I got my nissan preowned back in november and had a very easy, fast, in and out experience when i purchased the vehicle. I recently had a tire pressure issue and thought i would "save my time" to have it repaired someplace else. Needless to say i had more issues. I went to the Service Dept at #1 Cochran Nissan and Zack Sikora listened to the issue entirely and even suggested that I should call my warranty company to get reimbursed for what I already paid for since it would be covered under warranty. He took my car back and had them recalibrate my sensor. My car was finished within 15 minutes! It was the most efficient and pleasant service experience I have ever had! I will never take my car someplace else.

I took my car in because it had a slow leak in one tire. I was told that the tire had a nail in it and that the leak was patched. The car is still under warranty (nine mos. old); that's why I took it to the dealer. The fix took 1-1/2 hrs. Am I being too critical? Why so long?

Over the weekend I had called and discussed being interested in purchasing a new Nissan Sentra. The F&I manager, Anthony, talked to me and was very friendly. He assured me he would send me an email in regards to the Nissan I was inquiring about. Three days later, I did not receive the said email. I figured since my name is hard to spell maybe there was miscommunication. So I decided to stop into the show room in person and find out more details.I walk in and was immediately told that a sales representative would be with me shortly to help. I thought I was off to a great start. After 20 minutes of sitting there, I noticed that not one individual cared to come over or ask if we were being helped. All the representatives for the nissan seemed to be aggregated together in the middle of the show room discussing among themselves. When I approached the desk to ask what was going on, the assistant said that all sales representatives were "busy." There was only one other customer in the showroom other then myself. I could understand if all the sales representative were assisting other individuals but I could see them in plain eye sight sitting in the middle. If there are certain hours that the sales representatives are "BUSY" please adjust your hours accordingly. I never realized that the customer has to beg for a sales representative to buy a car. I had done research and come in with the determination of buying a car, but after that experience I will gladly buy my car somewhere else. It was so unprofessional. If you are not interested in selling cars and would rather converse among yourselves please do so in the back room and not in front of customers (Even if there were only two).

I have been purchasing and or leasing Nissan automobiles since my first Datsun in 1979. I have been dealing with a variety of dealerships since that time however the last 2 I have purchased have been at Cochran Nissan in Dormont and can honestly say I am a huge fan. In particular the service team is incredible. Zach Sikora is incredible. All of my routine visits for oil changes and state inspections are a breeze. He and the staff go out of their way to accommodate my questions and any other concerns. Zach went out of his way to help me locate a rim for a full size spare tire I wanted to use for my long distance travel. Not only did he find the rim, he researched the best price and had it delivered asap. I truly appreciate his willingness to go the extra mile for a customer. I bought a used car and the service was awful. The young salesman I test drove the vehicle in was ok. I returned two days later to buy the vehicle and I called ahead so they knew I was coming. I went in and had not fixed what was wrong with the vehicle. It was missing a break pedal cover and that would cause it to fail inspection. Well they sold it to me anyway and wrote a we owe you. I called twice and Jeff said he would call back and he never did. I ended up driving up to talk to someone in person and said we can't help you here you'll have to set up an appointment with service. They didn't even clean the car when I bought it. I will never again buy a vehicle from Cochran and recommend you do the same. I will be sure to tell anyone who says there looking to buy a car to avoid Cochran. They also didn't bother sending me an email asking about my experience. It just shows how inconsiderate they are.

Reading the reviews online and comparing to the experience we just had yesterday, I would think we were at a different dealership than the one everyone is reviewing. We drove from Cleveland to look at a specific vehicle we saw online. The salesman who greeted us seemed nice at first, but when asked to test drive the car, he told us no. The reason is my husband said we were looking and were hoping to have something by August and the salesman interpreted that to mean we had no intention of purchasing the car we came to look at and wasn't willing to let us test drive it. We had to tell him we were interested in purchasing that day before he agreed to the test drive. He also asked for my phone and email address. In looking at the papers we were allowed to bring home, he did not use the email address we gave him - he made up a bogus one to some school district (I'm assuming a local one) so how I am to interpret that?? We loved the car and went in to try to purchase. We let the salesman know we had already secured our own financing through our bank. He said he could probably beat the rate we got. When we got down to the numbers, he came out saying the rate he was giving us matched that of our bank. But he didn't 'beat' the rate as he said he would try - he said he matched. The monthly payments quoted were going to be higher than what our bank was quoting, so we decided to stay with our bank's financing. When we said we would give them $2000 that day and come back on Monday with the bank's cashier's check (we were there on a Saturday), he told us it was not their policy to hold used cars. I can't change the policy there, but in my opinion, we got the impression they didn't want to sell us the car from the moment we were told we couldn't test drive. We didn't haggle on price or anything. The only way they would have sold the car to us on Saturday is if we would have agreed to their financing. Truly disappointed with whole experience, start to finish. Do wonder if things may have turned out differently with a different salesperson - quite a few got excellent online ratings...

They always go out of their way to make things convenient and I feel they are honest when they say my cars do or no not need certain things. On my previous visit in November, I was given pertinent recommendations for my Nissan Altima before inspection. I followed back last week with Josh on getting my car in to get my tires replaced with alignment and the necessary filter replacements. Too long buying process. Samebody like looooong conversations? I dont like! Better to come, see what you want, pay, say "thank you" and go out. I set an appointment, brought all information about the car what I like to buy, including stock # and VIN. The rest: pay, say "thank you" and go out. One hour is more then enough, but I spend more then 3 hours in this dealership. Would I recommend this dealer to a friend? Can not say "No" and can not say "yes". No any chance to respond.

Everything went fine with my repairs. The only problem i have with this dealership is when you call the dealership the person you speak to isn't located on West Liberty. This has created a problem in the past for me and created problems for me this time as well...when i dropped my car off the night before service i parked my car, locked it and then looked around for where to drop me key. One of the sales people told me i had to walk over to this strange lot and deposit them in the trailor. What an inconvience! it was freezing outside (single digit weather) and the lot was a sheet of ice. The lady that answered the phone, regardless of her location, could have at least told me this was the new arrangement. When i brought this up to Zach (the tech) he was nice enough to give his number and told me to call him directly. He always does a great job! when i picked my car up...same situation. i was given my keys and said your car is in that other lot. Again it was in the single digits and snowing and i had to walk in the very icy parking lot to get my car. unless i absolutly have to take my car to the dealership, i won't be going back there

Do Not Buy a Car From Cochran! You will be lied to and manipulated. They are dishonest and are willing to put a customer into an unsafe vehicle as long as they make money. I recently had a very negative experience! They Lie to Carfax about the work they do on vehicles, so you cannot trust the Carfax they give you! One month after owning the car they had to replace part of the fueling system. One week later they had to replace the same exact part. When I got my newest Carfax on my car, they had coded it as a service check-up the first time and a fuel system check the second time. They had to replace a piece of my fueling system, but they didnt want to tell that on a Carfax. When I asked about it, the service department told me that Carfax was the one who coded things that way. I contacted Carfax and they told me they entered the information that the dealerships/service stations give them and verified that yes, I had been lied to about how it was coded. They do not repair vehicles correctly and will replace parts in your car without permission. I recently took it in to get fixed as it was shifting hard and sounded like an airplane. They had my vehicles for a week. Five days after they took it, they called to tell me it was fixed. They had never called me to tell me what was wrong with it! So they replaced parts in my car without my permission. When I went to pick it up, their mechanics were not able to tell me what was wrong with my car. They did however assure me they had personally made sure it was fixed correctly. I had only driven three blocks before I turned around and took it back. It still sounded like an airplane. How did a certified mechanic not notice a vehicle making highly irregular sounds?I went to meet with the General Manager of the dealership, Bob Fescemeyer. He assured me that he would be able to help me get into a safe vehicle. Three weeks of phone tag later, he leaves me a voicemail stating We can get you out of your vehicle, but we cant get you into anything new without your payment being several hundred dollars more per month. When I called back, of course I got his voicemail. I asked that he put into writing what he had told me. I also asked why he couldnt get me into a car in my budget, and would he be able to show me online that there were no cars in my price range. For the next month I left multiple messages but I never received another return phone call! I have saved every document and every voicemail from dealing with this awful dealership. They have lied and manipulated! I would highly recommend you take your business elsewhere, lest you end up in an unsafe vehicle with the professionals attempting to talk in circles around you!

We entered the dealership with a narrow view of expectations, assuming that we would be giving up a substantial portion of what we loved so much about the Jeep in taking a new vehicle. Boy were we wrong! Our Salesman Joe Cerimeli was amazing. He took his time with us, addressing our concerns one by one. Joe made the process easy, considering that we had our two and a half year old daughter in tow. He was extremely knowledgeable and was able to "steer us" (pun intended) in the right direction for our family. We now have a 2014 Nissan Rogue that we absolutely love, I actually cried little when we filled it up the first time. I couldn't believe all of the money that we saved. The transmission went on my car and I was looking for a cost effective replacement. I leased a Nissan Versa Note from #1 Cochran Nissan in the South Hills. Bob and Tim went out of their way to help me get a car quickly. Tim was very friendly spent some time chatting with me as I waited for paperwork to go through. Just by getting to know me, they identified some discounts that I didn't even know I qualified for. I have always been nervous about car dealerships because I am a young woman who doesn't really know much about cars, but based on the research I did, the price they offered me was very fair and I don't believe that they tried to take advantage of my lack of knowledge. I didn't have the title for my old car to finish the paperwork for the trade in, but they let me have the Nissan before finalizing all the paperwork because I told them I needed transportation for the weekend.They also took care of towing my old car from the garage while I was signing papers. About 1 month after leasing the Nissan from Cochran, one of the speakers stopped working. I called their service center to get it repaired (Josh assured me that is was covered under warranty). I was able to sit and wait (and have some free coffee) while they looked at the speaker. This only took about an hour and they said that it would take about 2-3 days to order the replacement part. I got a message from Josh the NEXT DAY saying that the part had arrived that that I could come that afternoon and get it replaced if I was available. They even washed all the salt residue off my car after they repaired it. Fast and friendly service!!From the actual leasing to repairs, Cochran went above and beyond my expectations for fast, friendly, and FAIR customer service. I don't have much experience with dealerships, but I would go back to #1 Cochran Nissan again in a second.

I must say that I read the reviews on this dealership before I went and I wasn't expecting much. Well I don't know if the personnel has changed since the negative reviews or if they are just getting it right now because my experience was great. I went to look at a specific model of used car, of which they had two. I called and made an appointment and arrived about 20 minutes early. My contact greeted me about 10 minutes later. We discussed why I was there and taken to the lot to see the 2 vehicles. We test drove one and talked about the carfax report. We discussed a purchase and the value of my trade in. We went back and forth several times with my salesmans manager and finally came to an agreement. The car was immediately taken in to be detailed although it didn't seem like it needed it. We signed the papers and the car was brought up to me when it was ready. My salesman went over all of the functionality with me and sat and explained everything very thoroughly. They followed up with an email the next day thanking me and a phone call a few days later to make sure the vehicle was doing ok and to my liking. It was a very good used car buying experience and I would highly recommend giving this dealership a shot the next time you are looking for a vehicle.

There aren't words to describe my experience with #1 Cochran Nissan of South Hills. Joe was absolutely fantastic! I had emailed him in advance to my appointment outlining exactly what I was looking for and my budget. When I arrived for my appointment, Joe had the vehicle I was interested in ready for a test drive! After being extremely thorough in explaining the vehicle, as well as pros and cons to leasing, we sat down in the showroom to discuss my options. Joe really understood what I wanted to do and made every effort possible to get me in the car I wanted at the price I wanted. He left no stone unturned - he was very knowledgeable and friendly, not pushy like you'd assume a car salesman to be. I felt very comfortable working with him! Being under pressure to meet a morning 10:00am doctor's appointment (Shadyside) and later in the afternoon around 2:30pm having to swing by and pick up my elderly mother-in-law (Mt. Oliver) without keeping her unduly waiting after her appointment was completed, I called Zak around 12:15pm in the off chance there was an opening for the service dept. to perform a 4 wheel alignment for me. Zak had an slot open at 1:30 pm that would have made the second leg of my day's journey pretty close to near impossible. Zak advised that if I could get there at 1:00pm and start the paperwork, he could get me in a bit sooner and perhaps out sooner. I accepted the slot time and said to Zak that I wasn't looking for preferential treatment over anyone else, but if he could do anything to facilitate the servicing and allow me to pick up my mother-in-law in time, I would greatly appreciate his and the servicing department's efforts. Bottom line is that they did so and gave me some spare time to perform my pick-up duties. So. Many, many thanks to Zak and the crew for a job well done. Again!

Went to trade in my Vehicle. A 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with 106 K. I had an airbag deployment several years ago and a little rust around the doors. Passenger mirrow was recently boken and Allstate gave me a check to get that fixed. Mirror cost was a ittle over a $100.00. Used car salesperson seemed like a good guy. Problem came when they sales manager tried to appraise my trade-in at $2500.00. When I confronted him on it he got incredibly defensive and asked what makes me think my vehicle with a broken mirrow and rust would be worth much of anything. I told him I've done my research. I knew if I sold it myself I could get over $6,500.00 and trade in should be $4,500.00. He went through the whole "it's going to the auction" and i told him I already knew my vehicle would get $5,000.00 at the auction. Then he said it would cost $700 to fix my mirror and I told him I have an estimate for $115.00 plus labor. All my issue with my vehicle could be fixed for under $900.00 what his cost to fix them I asked? He continued to insult my intelligence and negate all the research I had done over the last week and a half on what my vehicle was clearly worth and what was a fair trade. I went to shake the salepersons hand that had originally helped me because I thought he was a reaonable guy and it wasn't his fauly his boss was the way he was. He shook my hand then I said to his boss I was out of there and went to shake his hand and he refused. I picked up the phony appraisal he gave me and threw it toward him. Not shaking my hand when he's the one insulting me was really the last straw. At this point I needed my keys (they still had them), when I went to get my keys the sales manager followed me and continued to argue with me. Asked me to provide names of companies who had appraised my vehicle at $4,500.00 (about 10 already had) off the top of my head I couldn't remember the names since I had spoke to maybe 30 different dealerships in the Tri-State area in a week. So he then berated me demanding to know who I had spoken to so he could personally call them and sell them my vehicle for $4,500.00! Knowing that there was no way this would happen and he was trying to make some sort point (don't forget he appraised the damage to my mirror at $700.00 and when confronted with the facts said "Never mind that") I then pretty much shut down arguing with this incredibly demeaning person. There was now at this point another manager standing there at this point recommending we just part ways. I was all for it. Then the guy I was arguing with tried to change his tone. Asked "well what are you looking for" said he'd now like to help. Again, I was ready for the door but I obliged and explained one more time the perimeters I needed to meet in order to close any deal. There was another vehicle that may meet my needs in the North Hills and the one in the West Liberty Nissan wasn't going to meet those needs since he siad it was priced too low (In other words, because his vehicle was priced too low he needed to appraise my vehicle low in order to make money! Like somehow his low price is my fault!!!!!) So there was my answer. Again I extended my hand to shake his hand and this time he shook it. Said he'd have the salesperson call me the next day if the North Hills vehicle could possible work for me numbers wise. I never heard from anyone the next day. I would absolutely never ever recommend going back to #1 Cochran Nissan under any circumstances and the shame is, I like Nisan but I'll have to drive a little to get to another NIssan dealer if I want one I suppose. My advise to the saleperson who seemed like a good guy that I first met with. find another dealership to work for that cares whether or not you make a lousey commision of $100.00 bucks instead of one who needs to make $2000.00 on the front end of mark up on the used vehicle they are selling and another $2000.00 OR MORE on the back end of the vehicle that is being traded in. Greed gets you no where.

They appraised my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo at $2500.00. Had 106 K. Jeep is loaded. Trail rated, etc... Had about $900 in work that needed done (My cost). Whats their cost? Half that?) In about a week and a half I had been it touch with over 30 dealerships trying to find the right vehicle. This dealership had a used Honda CRV that was over my budget but I thought maybe I could get close to making it work. SO I let them appraise my Jeep. About 15 of the dealerships came back with a number around $4,500.00 trade in on my Jeep, which fit with my research. My vehicle in 2010 had an airbag deployment but no damage to the actual engine, which shows up on Carfax so I 'get that' but I'm also aware that even at the auction they would get $5,000.00 if they chose not to keep it. Vehicles like mine are selling through private sellers all day at $7,000.00 or up online. Bottom line $2500.00 was an insult from an incredibly rude guy who talked down to me like somehow I was supposed to sell my vehicle for $2,500.00. I have no idea how this company got so many positive reviews, especially since then, by talking to others within the industry they have had a reputation as being unscrupulous. I understand that the last remark is subjective but I'm extremely suspicious of the majority of positive reviews for them based on what I'm now hearing from friends and family. I'll stand by my incredible horrible experience with them to anyone. I had a mirror that had recently been broken and some rust. Total cost like I said was $900.0 for everything! My mirror in the estimate was $115.00 plus labor. He told me it was going to cost $700.00 and this is their appraiser!!!!??? When I confronted him with the facts he said well never mind that $700.00 dollar remark and went on attacking my vehicle which is extremely clean on the inside and has a lot of extra's, brand new tires, ect.. Then he wouldn't shake my hand when I got fed up and was going to leave. I then threw the piece of paper with the phony appraisal at him. (15 minutes later, after following me when I went to get my keys they were holding and continuing to argue with me while demanding to know what dealerships in the area offered me $4500.00 trade in claiming he'd call them and sell them my Jeep. Then he finally shook my hand when I again went to leave, disgruntled at best, promising to have the salesperson who originally dealt with me call me if they found something that would work for me. They never called... surprise, surprise.) Poor guy who originally dealt with me was nice enough. He'd likely only make a couple hundred on my deal but instead he has to deal with a company he works for that wants to make $2,000.00 on the vehicle they are selling and AT LEAST $2,000.00 (more in this case) on the vehicle they are getting as a trade. He literally told me that he can't sell me the Honda because he had already came done in price and there wasn't any room to move on my trade. In other words, since they weren't making enough money on the vehicle they were selling they set my trade-in way low!!!!??? He didn't say that but that's what it means. Beware #1 Cochran anything. Beware the great reviews. Anyone could put up a good review. Just because I have to check at the end of this review "I'm not associated with any other dealership" doesn't mean someone making a review on here isn't part of their team or at minimum someone they know or family. Who checks? I'll stand by my review to anyone. Word is through people in the industry they didn't get to the top by always being on the up and up. Low balling my Jeep and insulting peoples intelligence doesn't seem like a great way to do business. My advice, don't do business with them. Look at the bad reviews on here and you'll see how they match up. Look at the good reviews and you'll see how generic most appear. Bottom line, check with friends and family, make calls and do your homework before you deal with them.

I purchased a Nissan Maxima from another dealership in this area in 2002 and was very disappointed with the service I received as a customer as well as the service performed on my vehicle. In spite of an appointment, I waited a long time for service and I was never informed of potential problems that may occur with my car. Whenever I traveled over 350 miles one way, I always took my vehicle to that dealership to be checked out before the trip. I had my car checked at that dealership and was told everything was fine. In 2010 on the way to North Carolina, I started to have problems with the vehicle. I managed to get to a dealership in North Carolina who checked the car out and showed me the things that needed repaired. I liked the way the NC dealership treated me so I traded my car for a 2010 Murano. Fortunately, when I returned to Pittsburgh, I found #1 Cochran and I like the way you treat me as a customer and how you service and maintain my beautiful Murano. Your scheduled appointments are right on time and you care about your customers. No one is perfect and we all make mistakes but I noticed that you go above and beyond to correct any mistake because you care about customer satisfaction. On top of that, every visit to your dealership results in much needed car wash. My experience overall with your dealership has been very very good. This is the way a business should be run. I have been trying to get pricing for them to replace a cracked dashboard on my Infiniti FX for almost a year now. I have emailed, left telephone messages, and even visited the dealer on numerous occasions. I received ONE phone call back informing me that they would research pricing and get back to me. That was several months ago. I have called them numerous times since then asking for an update, but have received no response. I have purchased 3 Infiniti vehicles over the past 10 years before moving to Pittsburgh. It saddens me to say that I cannot continue being an Infiniti customer with this type of customer service from Cochran Infiniti. I had to go to the service center in Castle Shannon for the first time as they were renovating the service center on West Liberty Ave. I found the staff friendly, the facility neat, and the service efficient. I had to get an oil change and auto butler (cleaning and undercoating/rustproofing touch up) on my 2012 Rogue. Not extensive work, but they kept me updated and provided shuttle service to take me back and fourth from home. Yes, other dealerships might provide this service also, but I was pleasantly surprised by an e-mail about the results of my service - I needed an air filter for a slight extra charge - that prepared me when Josh called to discuss it and complete the work.

I find #1 Cochran Nissan of S. Hills to be the most customer-friendly dealer service department I have ever dealt with. But I do have one minor complaint and that is controls not being left set to where I had them. Some things like radio controls or the temp and fan settings for the climate control do not matter, but others do. After my previous visit I discovered that the headlights were taken off of automatic and put on manual. As it has been eons since I've used manually controlled headlights, it took me a while to realize that my headlights were not on in the evening. After this visit I was coming back from a trip downtown and tried to make a phone call but could not hear the voice prompts. I initially tried adjusting the volume with the volume knob on the dashboard but that did not work. Not wanting to fiddle with it in traffic, I just waited until I got home and then discovered the phone volume is controlled with the volume buttons on the steering wheel. I don't know what changing the volume on the phone has to do with getting an oil change and tire rotation.I would be satisfied if they just said, "in the course of normal maintenance, we adjusted the following controls," and listed which ones they might have adjusted.

I'm a little indifferent in my response. Although I am happy my problem is fixed, and my service contact seemed to care and want to help out, the path getting there was very frustrating. I brought my 2005 Maxima into Nissan at Sleepy Hollow for service around the early part of May because I was hearing a grinding noise every so often when applying the brakes (2005 but only 49k miles). At that time, service checked my brakes, pads and rotors and could not find any issues. I was told it may be an ABS issue and that it would be checked as well but according to Nissan everything was fine with the ABS as well. After 3 weeks of hearing this grinding noise in which it was continually getting worse, I brought the car in for the annual inspection and again reiterated my concern about the grinding noise. This was on Monday, June 3rd. I even played a video that I had taken in which you could hear the grinding noise. Late in the day I was told they finally found out it was a bad rear right sensor causing the ABS to malfunction. However, it would take 3-4 hrs to fix so I would have to bring the car back on Tuesday, June 4th. I did and was told it would be fixed by the end of the day. When I showed up at Nissan to pick up my vehicle, after paying $557, I was told the right rear sensor was fixed but now the left rear sensor was causing the malfunctioning. Therefore, I would have to bring it back in on Wednesday to have that sensor fixed as they were missing a part. Finally on Wednesday everything was fixed; however, very frustrating. Makes me question whether both sensors were bad or just the left sensor initially. Makes me question whether Nissan knew that if the right was bad, fixing the right would throw out the left. I will say that my service contact seemed to want to help out as much as he could by not charging me the labor when the left side was fixed - although part of me thinks that this was an ommission of some kind of negligence. Why would I be charged over $300 in labor on the right side sensor - and then told labor would not be charged on the left side. Seems like quite a write-off so if it was truly out of kindness he should be commended. As for price, not sure what it should cost to replace two rear ABS sensors but I ended up paying $811 and the parts are only guaranteed for 12 months.....

I think the price was fair, and everything was done in time and to my satisfaction. when I picked up the car, there was a slight problem with my aftermarket auto starter fob not working. this was late on Friday afternoon. I am very pleased to say that Zach went out of his way to get this resolved to my complete satisfaction. he could have dumped it in my lap (I've had that happen at other dealerships) but no, he went the extra mile and we got it resolved late on a Friday afternoon kicking off Memorial Day weekend. It was the most stress-free buying experience I've had and everyone was very helpful throughout the whole process. I met with Gene Hlister initially and he lead us through the process of test driving the vehicle I wanted and then moving on to the buying process after that. Matt Ross, who did the financial aspects, also made purchasing the vehicle easy and was straight forward with the warranty packages which I really appreciated as well. The service department is in the process of fixing some things with my new car, which are the kind of minor issues that come with buying a used car. Had a scheduled appointment for a state inspection on a 2012 Altima with only 10K miles and a simple tire rotation. WHen i made the appointment i said i would be waiting for it. It took 2 hours for this to be completed. I could see my car through the service window and it sat there for over an hour with no one touching it. It should take 30 mins MAX for a tire roation and state inspection on a new car that didnt need anything to pass the inspection. Wont go back there for maintance.

I was extremely please with the customer service at #1 Cochran Nissan. I visited their South Hills location in hopes of leasing my first car. Bob Fescemyer was recommended to me by a family friend, so I made an appointment to stop in and see him. I explained to Bob what I was looking for in a car and my financial parameters. I was specifically interested in the Altima, and he went through the list of vehicles they had that would most fit my needs. He then introduced me to Alex Poarch, who showed me the suggested vehicles and took me on a few test drives. Alex was extremely helpful and friendly. When we returned to the dealership and told Bob the car I was interested in leasing, he provided me with a quote that was well within my price range. I can honestly say that I didn't think I was going to walk away with a car that day, but Bob and Alex went out of their way to accommodate me (including staying way past closing time) and it became clear that the car and the dealership were the perfect fit for me. After having the car for a week, Alex called to check up on how I was enjoying the car. My response - I couldn't be happier.
